Color Spectrum Series: Green Edition!

The greens! Don't know what the Color Spectrum Series is? Click here!

Ever since Sephora + Pantone Universe  announced that emerald was the color of the year, I've been interested in getting more greens and into my makeup. I bought Urban Decay's Loaded Eyeshadow after remembering that Jen from Frmheadtotoe said that it was a great alternative to black for a smokey eye. Ever since then, I've been loving how this color has given me some extra definition to my eyes.

Wet n Wild Comfort Zone Palette - The greens in this palette are so pretty. There can be some fallout, but it was only $5. The Eyelid color is a bright yellow-y green. The crease color is a very dark, almost black, hunter green with golden shimmer. The definer color is a red brown with a teal duochrome. This is a very close dupe to Urban Decay's Lounge eyeshadow, which has been discontinued.

Urban Decay Loaded Eyeshadow - This product is an emerald color. It is so gorgeous and the texture is so smooth. It is incredibly pigmented, but it is so blendable and soft that it can be blended off the eyelid.  I find that patting on this eyeshadow is the best way to use it.

theBalm's Lead Zeppelin Eyeshadow from the Balm Jovi Rock Star Face Palette - This is also a hunter green eyeshadow with gold glitter, but it's not as dark as the color from the Wet n Wild palette. This color isn't as pigmented as other theBalm's eyeshadows, but it's still a good eyeshadow.
